1. Aseptic requirements

2. Keep warm

The temperature of the operating room is generally controlled at about 25℃. After surgery and anesthesia, especially general anesthesia, the patient’s metabolism will be reduced by the anesthetic drugs, so the heat production will be reduced. In addition, Surgery may not avoid opening the body and infusion is needed to maintain the internal environment, which will result in a relatively low body temperature. Spreading the surgical drape can play a role in keeping warm to a certain extent.

3. Protect patient privacy

During the operation, in order to be sterile, in many cases there is no clothing attached to the operation area or even the whole body. After the doctor disinfects the patient, the rest of the area is covered with surgical drape. As long as the operation field is exposed, it is convenient for the doctor to operate. This can well protect the patient’s privacy.
